SURVEY -----RE: SPELLING Easy 10 Poins?

Does anyone ever click on the little box(inside is abc and a check mark underneath the abc) Next to the little box are located the two words Check Spelling. This is located in the top right hand corner of the Question and Answer page.





Don't want to make anyone angry, but this an extreme "pet peeve" of mine. I don't TM, so sometimes I don't know what the letters stand for. However, I can spot a typo a mile away.

No we don't check spelling.
Reply:I believe your own typo proves that everyone makes mistakes. There are some people who just don't care about spelling.





Also Spell Checker doesn't help when certain words are used incorrectly such as:


your and you're


there, their and they're


and many others.





There's the fact that there is different spelling of certain words between America and the rest of the English speaking world.


Examples are:


harbour and harbor


jewellery and jewelry


defence and defense


and that's only three examples.





Many people, due to the fact Answers is a world-wide site, have English as a second language and are trying their best to learn and to be understood.

i don't mind abbreviations but i hate when people botch their spelling so badly you can't even tell what they're trying to say, or even if you can, they sound stupid

but just like u did with the points thing, i also seem to ask the question and think oh yeah everything is spelt right and then go back and read through after ive submitted it and find the easiest word spelt wrong. ahaha.

1. I have an awesome ability at spelling stuff and


2. My computer automatically underlines words when I do misspell them.

ya... I read it with out a problme! It's easy and at first I was like wat? The i go oh! It's spelled wrong! LOL I'm weird though I have an oral memory so like I can hear a word once and I'll remember it for life. Kitab- book in Azerbaijan Deli! LOL
