In a survey just released, the top spot went to viewers of The Colbert Report and The Daily Show.

Does Fox Fair and Balanced news really mean Uninformed and Unbalanced?

Fox News viewers least informed in knowledge of current political issues?
It does not surprise me in the least. Fox is not a bona fide news organization, they are a propaganda arm of the republican party. At the time when the war in Iraq is viewed by most well informed people in the world as the greatest blunder of any president of the USA in over 100 years, Fox was and is still promoting the lies of the administration regarding Iraq and creating smoke screens like the magnification of the United Nations problems.

Reply:Since I stared watching Jon Stewart in 1999, and I became more interested in national and foreign affairs. In order to understand the humor you have to be on top of the news. I read newspapers, the Huffington Report, watch network news to keep on current affairs.
Reply:yeah, I like the Daily Show and Colbert Report, as they actually have good guests and touch on a lot of issues, but make it funny at the same time....the Fox News thing is not surprising, as they only give half the news.

At least the Daily Show and The Colbert Report do not try to act like they are real news. Well they do but everybody knows it is satire.
Reply:Yeah, I read a similar report a few years ago. A university study actually concluded that people who relied on Fox News for coverage of the war in Iraq were more likely to be misinformed than those who relied on other news sources (e.g. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, etc.). I think that speaks volumes. Don't you?

They have already enlightened the rest of us on their opinion of the particular topic at hand. Or so they think. If it wasn't for the Fox News Agency, poor illiterate American people would be unfortunate and floundering.





It is real obvious where they stand on issues of Iraqi War, GW, the Republicans,....





During the campaign, a study showed that during the last month more campaign ads (86% to be exact) focused on the positives of the Democrats and the negatives of Republicans. Now that is biased and unfair. The secular media decided the outcome of the 2006 election, and not the American people.

Colbert and Stewart are very satirical, but often times it's funny because it's TRUE. FOX is inadvertently funny because it's such an obvious propaganda ploy to anyone with at least half a brain.

Reply:That is so funny... I heard that before about The Daily Show.... It may be "fake news", but people actually receive more relevant information from it than from watching most real news programs.

Reply:I’m not surprised that viewers of the Daily Show and Colbert Report were most knowledgeable and viewers of Fox News among the least knowledgeable. I am, however, actually shocked at the low level of knowledge displayed by so many of the respondents. The fact that the knowledge level regarding national affairs seems to be declining is very disturbing.
