Survey on Birth Control...?

Only answer if you have used or are using some form of hormonal birth control.

. Do you agree with the use of birth control pills or no?

. used/using for how long?

. ever had the sign effects; spotting, weight gain, mood changes, blood clots ect...

. do you agree that hardly any woman is a virgin when she marries, because BC lets her have sex with a partner with whom she only has a sexual interest, not a marriage interest. why?

. Do you believe that there should be birth control for men?

. how have birth control (pills) affect our society? Positively and negatively

Thanks

Survey on Birth Control...?
1. I agree with it's use.

2. I have been using BC (in different forms) since I was 15...so 25 years.

3. The worst side effects came from the diaphragm, pill and the IUD. It took nearly 24 different formulations to find a pill that worked well for me. The IUD punctured my uterus and nearly killed me. I got pregnant with the diaphragm.

4. I disagree with your "virgin assessment." There are a LOT of young girls (under the age of 16!!!) getting pregnant because they don't understand the workings of sexuality, they are uneducated socially, their parents are too wrapped up in their own lives to give a sh!t about their kids' lives, and there is a lot of peer pressure to "do it."

5. I think that there should be reversible options for men. Vasectomy is pretty extreme unless the man is SURE he doesn't want kids, and condoms...well, condoms suck (for both genders).

6. This is a far-reaching question. Personally I think that there are too many nay-sayers who would like ALL contraception to be pulled from the market, and there are those who are misinformed about "emergency contraception." I think that there is a social responsibility to educate EVERY young person, and make contraception READILY available, because with or without it, kids ARE HAVING SEX, like it or not.
Reply:i used ortho-lo and it SUXX.

side effects: nauseaa , vomit, increase of acne on shoulders,

i am a virgin and i am waiting for marriage !!!so yess i do believe there r ppl like me out there :)

i take it for cramps,,

i think there shud be bc for men, becuz y do we have to go through all the troubles if it takes 2 to have sex..

men shud take bc and let us women not go through all that trouble :)

i think for the ppl who use it for protection, it is good becuz there wont be any " mistakes, or any reason to get abortion.. so i think over the years abortion rate will decrease due to the tight protection :)

i hope i helped!
Reply:- I only agree with birth control for medical reasons ( cysts, cramps etc.)

- I used them for 3 months

- side effects: mood swings, weight gain in breasts.

- yeah lots of women aren't virgins when they are married... but many women use birth control for medical reasons, i guess some use it just for sex ( which is stupid) i think you should only have sex with a person who you would actually want to marry.

- personally i would not want a birth control pill for men if thats what you mean... and we have condoms so its ok...

- it effects both way cuz we would probably have a higher pregnancy weight in society w/out BC... but its negative cuz i dont think it is healthy to play around with your hormones...
Reply:Yes I agree with the pill use

I used it for 5 years

I was on some with very low hormone doses and bled straight for 2 months, we switched to higher hormone and worked great.

No I don't agree that most women aren't virgins when they marry... I can't speak for others, a lot of women go on BC for medical reasons... acne, PMS, regulate periods.

There is BC for men.
Reply:-I used to agree with them (a bad experience make me change my mind

- I used birth control pill for about 2 years, 6 years ago.

-weight gain, mood changes

-no

-? they can use condoms

-positively
Reply:Yes i agree with the use of birth control pills.

I have been using them for 5 years.

Only side effect...bigger breasts.

I don't feel as though i can answer 4th question because I went on BC for a different reason...not to have unprotected sexual relations.

I know that there is a form of birth control for men...not yet on the market...but I certainly wouldn't trust a man to take a pill at the same time every day.

I think birth control pills positively affect our society today. Teenage birth rates are way down, and it's been attributed to birth control pills and condoms. I don't think they are negative. I know that some pharmacists have been choosing not to distribute BC because they believe it is another form of abortion...i highly disagree because the body does not and will not have a fetus as long as it is on BC...i think this is pure stupidity on the pharmacists' part.
