I did try to find good articles or answers to this question online, but I couldn't. My question is basically about the process of researching %26amp; maybe surveying a specific location in order to come up with a shortlist of--say--one to three business types that would be ideal to start or open particularly in that spot. So you're not looking for a franchise to buy or a prime location, no, you actually already have a location or property and you're trying to find the most ideal types of business or service/product provider that you can start or open in it. What are the (research) companies that provide such a service and maybe survey the population in the immediate vicinity of a certain spot? And what are the companies that would already have valuable intelligence to use for this purpose? What are these companies called? What are some keywords that can help me find more info online? I don't think simply "research companies" will do it. Can you recommend books? Many thanks for your help.
How to know best business to start in a specific location?
spend a week on looking at the clients in the area. know whether you want to service the public or a company. if there are many office blocks around you and professionals, a good business would be printing and stationery. every office needs stationery, such as pens, pencils, staples, paper, envelopes. some offices do not have copy machines, you can do photo copy's. also look into printing business cards and flyers. or open a resturant, fast foods, or if you are in a professional area, open up something where business people could visit your resturant, as a meeting place, set up there laptops, use your internet bandwith and at the end of their meal and meeting, you serve them with one account for food, drinks, and internet bandwith. that would be cool
