If you have your headphones on, aren't you worried about mssing the door or the phone?

I'm not expecting anyone to come or call but it still goes through my mind. Not so much the phone as that is right beside me and it has a red light that flashes when it rings, but the door might be someone with an on-the-spot survey and cash prize ...... You never know.

I worry about people saying things to me and my not hearing them and appearing rude.

Reply:I can't use them there too uncomfortable so no problem. Besides even if I could wear them I hate loud noise so I'd probably hear it anyway...............

Reply:I always feel a bit on edge when wearing headphones, in case I miss something! I think I am just too nosy for my own good!

Reply:when i use headfones, i make sure one ear is free so i can hear somethin else...

Reply:If I have my headphones on I don't plan on answering the door or the phone. I'm a musician and its one way to get a form of complete privacy while I practice - something that is necessary to a good practice session.
Reply:No thats the whole point, I can shut myself off from the world, plus if its important they will call again.
Reply:when i use the headphones that's my intention, to miss everything but music.
Reply:When you are out (at work for example) people ring or call and are disappointed.





If you have headphones on then the same should apply.





Sometimes I don't even need headphones.


If I don't want to be disturbed - I ignore it!!

Reply:Not really i actually dont like talking on the phone its kinda bizarre because i can have a long conversation face to face but not on the phone =D
