Could you please help me with my statistics research project ?

I have to do a statistics research project where I have to design a survey and hand it to university level students. I can't think of any good topics. I'm really lost ! Please help me !

The topic has to be something like :- Favourite hang-out spots, Various tastes in music/dance, etc.....

Could you please help me with my statistics research project ?
For my stats project, I analyzed whether or not nerds are more likely to wear corrective lens than non-nerds. We used # of advanced classes to split up people between nerds and non-nerds.

A friend of mine analyzed whether or not girls are prone to take longer showers than guys.

Another friend analyzed if asians are better at identifying the nationalities of asians compared to whites identifying
Reply:You should be more worried about the design of your survey, the sampling plan, and assumptions required to analyze the data.

First, your data are already going to be biased and results will only refer to UNIVERSITY LEVEL STUDENTS. You cannot limit your survey to that sample and then extrapolate to some unwordly universe of people.

Therefore, take what you already know....you must survey UNIVERSITY LEVEL STUDENTS and ask them questions that are applicable to that group.

For instance, what subject , of those listed, in school is your favorite and THEN give them a finite number of subjects......math, english, physics, geography and history

Then ask what is their favorite hobby from your given list. For example, computers, reading, wrtiting poetry, outdoor athletic activites, and watching TV.

Sample a large number of UNIVERSITY LEVEL STUDENTS and do a categorical data analysis to determine if a relation exists between subject liked and favorite hobby.

The above is just a middle of the night thought. To help better I need to know much more about the proposed research project and your level of statistical knowledge.

It's expected that you'll pee in the ocean (think about the number of people on a crowded beach compared to the absence of adequate restroom facilities if people did not pee in the water).

As for the shark....I'll go one further....it is perfectly natural to poo in the ocean if you've spotted a very large shark.

5. My favorite theme park ride is a tough one. I think it is a toss up between the Rock 'N' Roller coaster in MGM studios in WDW Florida, the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom, Pirates of the Caribbean in the Magic Kingdom, Soarin' in Epcot, Batman in Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. There is also a few at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH, but that would take up too mcuh time!

C Section numb spot?

Anyone out there have a c section and don't have that weird numb spot? Everyone I've met with the scar has the numb spot, and so do I. Also, sometimes it feels itchy all of a sudden, but of course scratching it does nothing because it's numb... It's been eight months for me, does that sensation ever go away? Any imput would be appreciated, I'm really looking for a survey...

C Section numb spot?
Yes! I hate the numb spots! I have gotten used to them a little bit but it still feels weird sometimes. And yes it does itch too! My doctor told me it could take up to a year for the feeling to come back, as they cut nerves but my sister still has it and it's been 4 years. It's been 6mo for me......I've been reading some of the answers and I had a bikini cut but I think everyone is different. I like the fact that it is so low. I was amazed when I first saw where it was and amazed that my son came out of there........
Reply:Been nine months and mine is still there, it's annoying at times. But, I keep remembering that's how my sweet baby boy came into this world.
Reply:I had my c-section 13 months ago and I still have that numb feeling where the incision is. It was really weird the first few months...and I totally understand what you mean about the itching! Scratching it does nothing. Ugh!

My doctor said the numbness is normal and it varies for everyone. I asked my aunt who had a c-section and she said she had that numbness for about 3-4 years!

Reply:I had a c-section in June of 2005 and my scar is still numb as well and yes, it does itch sometimes too! It's like pinching or scratching my elbow....really weird.

Reply:I asked my OBGYN about it at my checkup visit, and he told me that the feeling may never return. Freaky, huh?

And I agree about the itching! Its so aggravating not to be able to make it stop!!!!!
Reply:I had my daughter 2 1/2 years ago by c-section and my numb spot is still there. I get itchy there too and it bugs me cuz it feels weird to itch that area.....don't think the numbness will ever go away!
Reply:It has been 6 months for me and I no longer feel the numbness. I tell you what I do feel. Is each day it itches ohhh so bad lol! It does help for me to scratch, but people stare especially at work and I have to explain. It's even better when my family gives me "the look". Makes my day!
Reply:I had my daughter four months ago and I have that numb sensation almost every day. I also get pain there when I have my period or need to use the bathroom. I guess this is normal.
Reply:I had an emergency c-section with my last baby... And I think everyone gets that numb spot because they have to cut through nerves. My baby was 1 year old on February 18th and my numb spot is still there.. Not as bad as when he was first born... but still there, and its a very large spot. I don't know that it will ever get back to normal.. I think it has alot to do with the type of incision, and the doctor.. some take more care in cutting then others, and I think it depends on if it was an emergency basis where they had to get the baby out, such as mine was.
Reply:I have had a c-section. I have the numb spot and it has been over 5 yrs since the c-section. I also have scar tissue underneath that hurts if anyone puts pressure on it. I don't think it ever goes away.

Isn't that weird though? I thought I was broken until I talked to the doctor...he said I'd be numb for a year...
Reply:I had twins a year ago, one was natural and one was a c-section. Since I hadn't known anyone that had a c-section, I thought I was just being weird with the whole numb spot. But I do have that numb spot plus it itches too. I thought it was itchy from being pregnant again and the constant pressure being put on the spot. Anyway, thanks for the info, now I don't feel so weird!

Reply:What kind of c-section did you get? I just had a bikini-cut (under the belly horizontally) 2 monthes ago and I am not experiencing any numbness. However, I do get the itching sensation once in a while.
Reply:I have had 3 c-sections and experienced the numb spot with all of them. It is caused by nerve damage and will eventually get better. I am not sure how long it took with all mine, since the last one was 4years ago next month. I still have the itchy feeling, but not very often.
Reply:Mine was over 12 years ago and it still is numb but I don't notice it as much anymore. They have cut nerves in that area and they usually can not grow back to exactly how they were. The itching will go away as well.

Reply:I had my c-section at the end of last October, had the vertical incision (emergency c-section) and I lost all numbness probably by January. It does itch occasionally, though, and baaaaaaaad.
Reply:3 years and counting for me... and still numb! I still have all those feelings-the "itchy" spot that you know is there, but can't feel. My mom still has the numb spot and it's been 26 years for her. I don't think it goes away. It sucks. I hate even when my kids or hubby touch it. It feels yucky, for lack of a better term.

I have said before i collect teapots gnomes and frogs but now i fancy green wooly hats have you spotted any on your travels? does anyone else like frogs ? that is not 2 questions it is a by the way!

I have one, but it's not for sale. It was once worn by the great man himself. I look at it like flying of a flag over the capital. It is an honor to have one. Mine came with fleas too, so its authentic.

Reply:Try your local charity shops,good place to start, on the theme of collections,I collect owls or anything owl related and I also have a collection of some 75 hats up to present,I used to have mad hat partys when I went out on the town with my freinds..many a good laff at a silly hat,,,.....anyway hope you have luck in finding your green wooly hats....
Reply:i used to collect frog orniments had loads but then i stopped and sold them all. but for your wooly hats have you been into a "the scottish woolen shop" they sell loads of wool and knitted things xx

How many women had spotting during their first trimesters of pregnancy?

First, I'm not looking for medical advice. I'm looking for a survey of what other women have experienced.

If you had spotting during your pregnancy, when did it start? What was the duration? If it's not TMI, what did your spotting look like? What was the result of the spotting? How did your doctor respond?

How many women had spotting during their first trimesters of pregnancy?
I bled during both of my pregnancies- the ones that didn't end in miscarriage anyways. The first time I was only 6-7 weeks along. We decided it was an irritated cervix. Then again at 17 weeks. No known cause for that one. Then again at 27 weeks, but then I went into preterm that had to be stopped.

With my second live pregnancy, I bled at about 15 weeks. We think it was a capillary that burst by my cervix. It was mucusy and stringy and I only saw it when I wiped after going to the bathroom. Within a few hours, it was finished and I didn't have anymore until I started to dialate, which was at 34 weeks. Then I would spot for a few hours and then stop. My doctor wasn't worried, and neither was I.

Usually with bleeding it is irritation, or a burst capillary that does it, unless it is bright red and more then a few drops. Then it is worth getting checked. You should inform your doctor at your next appointment, or the next day that you have bled. Just in case they want to see you to make sure things are ok. Usually a few drops is nothing to worry about.
Reply:I got pregnant december 5th, started spotting around january 10th. the docto said I had a yeast infection and gave me meds for it, 2 or 3 days after taking the meds my spoting became heavy bleeding and I lost my baby February 12th.
Reply:With my first pregnancy, I didn' know I was pregnant, and I thought it was a short period, it was during the second month, for 3 days, no problems, no repeat bleeding. The pregnancy went very smoothly with no nausea or vomiting and I delivered a healthy baby boy on the due date. The doctor said this spotting happens more often than women think.
Reply:i had it right after sex it was very scary but it stopped, and then there was the brown dried blood soon after

the doctor told me not to have sex for 2 weeks after the last day i saw the blood

Reply:When I was 19 years old I became pregnant. In my first trimester approx. 8 weeks I got a real bad sinus infection and ran a high fever. I began spotting bright red blood after being treated with antibiotics for my sinus infection everything cleared up within 2-3 days. I had a healthy baby boy 8 lbs. 1 oz.

Reply:i got preg on octo 7th 2005 and had bleeding and miscarried on oct15th...and bleeding continued to 3weeks.but dint have dnc doz said its in initial stage.and said there is a cist inside my uterus which will decrese the chances of becoming preg and said i shud not try for three mnths.but i was wanting a baby very much so we again tried and beames preg again(thx god) on jan12th2006 and had continuous spotting for 3mnths.....its was jat bleeding from uterus and nothing else.the old tissues wher left so y...now m ok %26amp;6mnths normal now.

No, I am not embarrassed, but I do believe this sort of thing has no place outside of the bedroom. Depending on what I am wearing, yes, bras should both be on and put away!! :) I do like to do this thing where I buy bras with my Hubby's favorite cartoon character's on them, so those particular bras, yes, I might be a little embarrassed if someone spotted them just because they might wonder if I really am in my 30's!!!! :) lol
Reply:There's no reason for them to be outside the laundry, or hanging to dry in my bathroom...but if they were seen someplace in the house they didn't belong who cares? They are just bras...no more of an issue than if it was a sock or a shirt.
Reply:normally they are put away, but if they have just been cleaned or handwashed, they sometimes hang in the bathroom. If people are going to be over, I hang them elsewhere. So no, not embarassed, theres undies, bras, hanging places lol
Reply:Not at all. It's no secret that I have breasts and wear a bra. There is no reason for my bra to be found anywhere outside of my bedroom or the laundry room. What women leave bras laying around the kitchen or living room? What a wierd question...
Reply:In a way I would be if I had guest over at house that have never been there and my son dragged out one. But other than that I dont think I would be.
Reply:Nope, I string them across the dining room chandalier for all to see. I'm quite proud of my bra collection. Thongs too.

How do I lower the cellar?

Thinking of buying a house. Cellar has already been converted with spot lighting and electrics, ventilation etc.... BUT its only about 5 foot 4 inches high! We are hoping touse it as a gym with treadmill and x trainer but it needs to be at least 8 foot!

Is it legal to dig lower? do we need permission? Is it evenposs? How would we know it can be done BEFORE putting an offer in? survey wouldn't help us out.

How do I lower the cellar?
I have seen and witnessed cellar disasters in the past, thankfully non have involved me! You must have at the very least Building regs permission to do this and they will only let you do it if you have had a structural engineers report and recommendations. Under no circumstances should the removal of soil be undertaken off your own back.
Reply:You must do this under the supervision of Building Control. You will need to underpin the walls first before excavating and, if you have neighbours you will need their (unlikely) permission.

If you don't know what you are doing this is a very risky procedure.
Reply:i lowered my cellar floor about a foot ...i didnt have to go lower than the first course of stone so i was ok...dont know what your walls are but 3 ft is a lot of digging and if your sewage drain runs under the cellar floor , you may have problems...might look into raising the house instead...will need plumbing and electrical modifications done...

This is not a difficult job provided it is approached correctly.

When we moved into our current house we were told that there may be a bricked up room underneath one of our reception rooms.

Well the person who told us that was half right. There was evidence of a room having been there probably around 100 years ago. We came accross an old bitumised floor about 3 to 4 feet below the existing wooden floor. The floor was hidden by several decades backfill of soil and rubble.

Next to this backfilled void on the same level was an existing basement, so we broke into the retaining wall and literally mined a 7 ft wall of earth to expose the floor and the walls of this room.

building Control required a structural engineering spec, which cost us £200. IMO that was money well spent.

We had to underpin some 4 to 5 feet below the existing footings around the whole of this part of the house. The underpinning was specced to go 1 foot below the finished floor level. For different soil types you may need more.

Once we did this we then rendered (as apporopiate) and tanked the walls using Thoroseal, laid a standard concrete and screed floor with celotex insulation and 0.3mm membrane underneath.

We then studworked and dry lined the walls in accordance with BCO reqs. The room will become a utility room that is just off our basement kitchen.

I dug the whole room out by hand and barrowed each cubic metre of concrete in via a barrow. It kept me fit, so doing it yourself will essentially negate the need for a gym whilst you're doing it!

If you're looking to get someone in you ought to be looking at a ballpark of around £10 to £20k. Do it yourself and it will cost you around £3 to £5k. Most of that will be in concrete and waste disposal

Reply:the floor in the cellar is probably at the current foundation level so to dig deeper you will have to undergo some serious groundwork. Its hard for me to give you a cost estimate without knowing details or seeing the job, but my best advice would be to talk to a cellar conversion company and ask for a rough price. And yes you would need permission from local council. Anything building wise can usually be done, i guess its up to how much you want the house !!

Reply:I would prefer Torres any day because not only of his youth, but he proved in the final that he can do just as good if not better when push came to shove! Let us not forget who helped Villa get his hat-trick in the opening game, and yes sure Villa scored 4 goals, but Torres ran the Russia defence to its knees so much that Spain were able to capitalise and finish them off swiftly after, although many people failed to see that. And if I am that desperate I will go for the goals scored in a whole season. He made an immediate impact in a foreign country on his debut season for a club with a great history wearing on of the most famous shirts in Liverpool FC history.

Gerrard: Champions League against Olympiakos. Champions League against A.C. Milan. FA CUP against West Ham. Those are just three of the big games that he has pulled his team by the scruff of their neck over the finishing line. People say a player is never bigger than a club, but if one was to come close, it would be Gerrard. He is our Dalglish, he is our Rush and our Fowler. Our Shankley and our Paisle. Lampard is good, just not great. Ronaldo: Hurts to say it, but he is on the form of his life. He is one of the best footballers around at this moment in time. There is confidence, and then there is arrogance, and he has that, which makes it easier to hate. The only problem is that he doesn't turn up much for big games. Silva is great, but it is unfair to put him next to Ronaldo. Ronaldo is still very young which scares me! And anyway, doesn't the fact that he is loved by everyone at Man U and hated by everyone else prove that he MUST be good?

Spain: They didn't just win the Euro 2008. They went and retrieved football. They didn't just do this for their nation, or even for Liverpool (lol) they did it to prove that yes! you can still place football and win something. I have never seen such great football. Against Russia, they are winning 2-0! Defend the game out? I THINK NOT, MAKE IT A THIRD! Against Germany. There is 15 minutes left, Torres is off, defend your way to glory (remember a failed attack could lead to a succesful counter-attack by their oponents)? NOPE, MAKE IT A SECOND. No way were they going to win the Cup by a single goal. Yes, they failed on that front, but they more than made up for it by their throwing caution to the wind and playing some great football. Argentina haven't had that in a while now! They will prove themselves at the world cup I think, but they certainly have underperformed in major tournaments recently. Spain could have won the world Cup with the form they had this tournament. Holland however could have won it too and it would have been just as good. Had they not switched off in their last game against Russia.

I got this call from some survey place wanting my opinions on something. I told her no I didn't want to and slammed the phone down. I'm on the 'do not call' list, but apparently then don't have that.. I should've wrote the name of the place down so I could file a complaint

Afterwards I was thinking about it - the way to go about this is to get them so confused that they would be the ones hanging up...

I came up with things like

phone sex

talk in some contrived language that you're making up on the spot

be so contradictory that you make no sense at all

repeat the question back to them over and over..

The list of what you can pull on them is endless.

If you live in the NYC area you know what a phone tap is. If you don't, one of the local radio stations here calls people with some phony story and gets them all riled up... alot of these scenarios could be used with the telemarketers...

The goal is to get them to hang up. What do you think?

I just had a great idea of what to say to those telemarketers and I wanted to know what you thought?
A lot of good answers on here already. I've been on the Do Not Call registry (state and national lists) since they first came out (both home and cell phones can be registered) and I have not received ANY solicitation calls since about 2 mos after I registered. Before that it was 4-5 calls a day!

One thing I want to point out is that the Do Not Call restrictions do not apply to charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors. You will most likely see a sharp increase in these types of calls just before election time. Oh well, guess it's a trade-off.

I work for a call center that does follow up surveys after people buy big ticket items. SURVEYS are exempt from the national do not call list BUT we are required by law to put you on a company do not call list. Slamming the phone is soooo unnessisary!!!

As far as how to treat the telemarketer, they are people. Just ask them to take you off their calling list. I also agree with Cletus that surveys are not the same as telemarketing.
Reply:Someone's going to call me a no-good liberal for this, I know, but they're human beings who are just trying to make a living. You can cut them off and tell them you're not interested. Then hang up. Then make sure you're on the do not call list - most of these folks just get lists of numbers, so they don't CONTROL the do not call list. They have no idea that you're on that list, but their bosses do.

Make sure you're on the right list, but it's a tough job. Cut them a little slack.

Reply:Coming from someone that used to be in telemarketing, first of all, they are doing a job. Be thankful, they could be at home sitting on welfare, think of it this way, you do things like that, well, that is where they could be. Serveys are different then telemarketing, they are asking for an opinion, not selling you things. You won't get them to hang up, I have had all of that happen to me, and I played along. Just remember they have your phone number and address, so I would be careful on how you do things, Also, the "do not call" llist can take up to a year to go into effect for your name is off, also, many people don't know this, but when you order something on line, or get a magazine, the process starts all over for you being on a list. They are doing a job, just like everyone else is.

It is very annoying to get telemarketers calling, they don't take no for an answer, so you have to have fun. Besides if you have to work ALL the time who wants to be bothered with someone invading your valued privacy, that is why we have private listings, whether it is their job or not we have rights to do what we want on our phones that we pay for. I was also a telemarketer, but I have respect for people's privacy. No means no. I am right there with you. Trust me, there are alot of other people that don't mind these people calling, but the ones that do mind, like us, they should give US some slack, after all it is our phones that we pay every month for. Peace.
Reply:All you do is, tell them just a minute you've got to take a pot off the stove and put the phone down and do nothing . They'll hang up by themselves. If you're not in for that, ask them how many hours they work and what the hourly pay is, ask them where they're located because you want to get employment with them, ask them if they like to be interrupted at dinner time, etc. Whatever works for you. Another thing, if the phone rings and you say hello and there's a pause, hang up, It's the computer letting the person know that you're on the line, so use the time between the ring and the actual person coming on to hang up.

Anybody you know would talk right away after you said hello.
Reply:i like the made up language part. i always tell them that i know you have to follow a script , i don't want to hear it and hang up. i would find out who they are, where they are calling from and make sure you have caller ID. write it down and file the complaint. you can event act like you are a joke answering machine pretending to be home and switch to answering machine mode.

My question is basically about the process of researching %26amp; maybe surveying a specific location in order to come up with a shortlist of--say--one to three business types that would be ideal to start or open particularly in that spot. So you're not looking for a franchise to buy or a prime location, no, you actually already have a location or property and you're trying to find the most ideal types of business or service/product provider that you can start or open in it. Motgage survey and new house.?

I just moved house two weeks ago. The survey conducted by the mortgage company revealed no significant problems and stated:

"The general condition of the property appears consistent with its age and type of construction but some works of repair and maintenance are required."

Only one week after moving in, a large damp spot appeared on the wall, and so I had a full survey carried out. The RCIS surveyor says that at least one room has damp, and this could possibly extend into the kitchen. Also, the roof of the extension needs replacing and the chimney needs fixing on properly. He stated that the first survey should have noticed this and advised on the report, it's possible that I can write to the mortgage company with a copy of the report and get money back for the repairs.

Can anyone advise on the best way to do this? And has anyone else had success using this tactic?

The standard disclaimer on the valuation says: It should not be replied upon.

You should have had three "surveys" or inspections prior to closing the house. The first by someone hired by you to inspect the property prior to signing a contract. The second by the mortgage company to protect themselves against them lending you more money than the house is worth. The last would have been your final walk-trough before closing. This is less a "survey" and more of final check that the house is in move-in condition and theres's nothing preventing the sale.

Although the wording by the mortgage company's survey is vague, at best, they are usualyl up-front with specifics about what they found out. Again, the survey is for their protection. However, the buyers inspection should have alerted you of some of these issues. However, from your wording, it doesn't look like that happened.

Anyway, back to your current situation. I can think of a few options you may have:

(1) If you feel that you were truly wronged by someone (the seller, the mortgage company, an inspector, etc..) then you should consult a lawyer. Depending on the state you live in, you may have had one represent you at closing.I don't know what case you have agains whom, but a good lawyer may be able to scare the other party into a quick settlement out of court to help recoup your costs.

(2) If you can't afford repairs (or a lawyer), talk to your insurance company and see if you can file a claim. However, this will probably raise your insurance rate if they don't drop you all-together

(3) Fix and repair what you can afford to now and plan on mitigating the dampness as much as possible with a dehumidifier, for example. It doesn't sound like the problems are critical to the structural stability of the house. The first thing I learned when I bought my first house was that it's not necesarry (or feasible) to fix everything at once.

Reply:I'm afraid the survey undertaken by the mortgage company is for their benefit. It is really to check that the property has no serious defects that could affect the value of the property and hence their investment risk.

You will waste a lot of time and energy trying to pursue the original surveyor / valuer.

I would look into the damp problem with a reliable builder, checking with Trading Standards for any prior issues.

Repairs to cure damp need not be terribly expensive.

Ask for a second opinion on the roof as some surveyors tend to be over cautious when estimating the remaining life of components.

Reply:I'm skeptical when it comes to paid surveys and 'get paid to complete offer' sites, but honestly many of them are legit and have enabled me to generate a great amount of extra money. On one site, you can find actual photos of checks people have gotten from the site. On my favorite site that I use, the total payment cashout reached six figures ($100,000) for the month of May!! The most important thing is to never get discouraged if you start out slow. Those $1-$5 surveys will add up over time, and doing them from more than one site at a time really increases your income. House buyer survey query, anyone experienced?

I have had my house on the market for a while. In February I got a buyer, but his surveyor spotted a settlement problem with an extension and wouldn't value it for mortgage unless I had a structural survey done on one wall.

This cost me £360, and he found a problem with the extension roof caused by the fact that the original builder of this extension had not properly bonded the purlins to the main building, and maybe also the proximity of a tree to the extension ( the extension consists of an attached garage with bedroom over it.

I had the roof repaired and tree removed by proper tradesmen, and have their receipts, the whole lot came to about £800 so it wasn't a massive job, but the buyer changed his mind and pulled out anyway.

Now I have another buyer, and I am worried that his surveyor may say something to put him off, even though the problem is fixed. If the same surveyor comes, they may just go into their files and repeat what they wrote in the last report.

What should I do?

I presume that you have now received a Structural Survey Report from the Surveyor who was allocated the job.

This will form part of the information held by your Solicitor.

In normal circumstances it would not be necessary for any further survey to be done, unless you don't have the Report to hand.

Buyers normally follow the recommendations of the Agent and Solicitor because both are liable for any misinformation supplied.

Go with your Solicitor's words on the matter and you can be confident that another buyer will arrive!
Reply:Don't stress about it if you fixed the problem. If the same surveyor comes he will go over your house a second time not pull an old file.
Reply:This should not be a problem - firstly the new would be purchasers will be using their own surveyor and the chances of it being the same one are slim. However show the copy of the survey report together with copies of receipts for work undertaken to any would be purchaser - give originals to your Solicitor as these will form part of your deeds

If by any slim chance you do end up with the same surveyor show him copies of the paperwork before he starts the survey

There should not be a problem at all now the tree has been removed and building works completed

1: For me, the pain was about at a 4. picture dragging a needle point along a pretty bad sunburn. That's basically what it felt like for me. It hurts as you get closer to a bone, like your ankle or shin bone (or anywhere where the skin is thinner) Remember that the pain is different for everybody. Some people find it just kindof annoying, some find it really relaxing, and some find it almost unbearable.

2: I think it really depends on the woman. I like tattoos that flow with the body, ones that accent what was already there. does that make any sense? Maybe an example would be a rather big tattoo on the ribs/side that flows with the body, increasing the curves.

3: There are TONS of websites out there. If you're looking for something specific, you can just type it into a search engine. like "Star tattoo" or something like that. A couple sites that I've found helpful:

www.deviantart.com: more a website for a lot of different kinds of art, but they have a lot of tattoo designs if you search for them

Once you find something you like, or a few different designs, print them out and take them to a good tattoo artist. That way you can talk to them about what you like about each picture, and they can combine and add or subtract, to make it perfect and unique to you.

4: I have a tattoo of a rose and two buds and leaves, surrounded by ribbons on my ankle, it's kindof in the shape of a cross, but it doesnt have any religious significance

I also have a kindof tribal-y design of a horse head I designed my self that has the name of my recently deceased niece hidden in it. This is on my inner calf.

Reply:The pain depends on where you get it. The first one I got was on a shoulder blade, it took about an hour and wasn't too bad until the end - probably about a 7. It's a tiger holding a rose in it's paws. Then I have a small parrot sitting on a branch on the front of my shoulder that I would give a 1 on the pain scale because it's pretty muscular there. Then I have my cats' head portraits on my inner leg just above the ankle bone. I'd give that an 8 for pain. Not a one of them ever hurt so much as to be unbearable or cause crying.

I like the shoulder and the ankle for tattoos on a woman and sometimes the inner wrist, but I hear they hurt really bad.

Can anyone interpret a dream?

Ok, I don't dream often, but last night I had a very short dream which was so extremely vivid I woke up with the same irritated feeling that I had in the dream towards my fiance:

The dream was in color and seeing through my own eyes, I am standing at my kitchen door surveying the kitchen and spot among the spartan and clean counter a liter milk carton standing next to the sink, fully open (not just one side, but wide open). I am irritated at my fiance, M, because she is always leaving food out like that and was afraid it was spoiled. I walk over to the carton and see that it is about 3/4 full. I lean down to smell it and it is still good, so I get the intention to return it to the refridgerator.

I'm not sure if I made it with the open carton to the fridge, but at this point I was waking up and can't quite remember. I was still a bit annoyed with my fiance when I woke up, but realized quickly it was a dream as I couldn't possibly have been to the kitchen yet that morning.

Can anyone interpret a dream?
Dreams can have many interpretations. Since it was your dream, your interpretation is probably the best. There are many methods at getting to a meaning of a dream. One method is through a psychological system called Gestalt. In this system, the method is to get 2 chairs. Set the chairs so they are facing each other. Sit in one chair. Chose something in the dream that stands out - such as the milk carton in your dream. Imagine the milk carton is 'sitting' in the chair opposite you. Ask the milk carton a question, any question. Then physically move and sit in the 'milk carton' chair and answer the question. Just say whatever comes up for you, no judgement even though it may seem stupid or foolish. Not at all. P%26amp;S is the section which welcomes all. Those without a sense of humour however..well..they should really loosen up and see the benefits of laughter sometimes. And heck, there are even the odd serious questions being asked..and answered.

It does not surprise me in the least. Fox is not a bona fide news organization, they are a propaganda arm of the republican party. At the time when the war in Iraq is viewed by most well informed people in the world as the greatest blunder of any president of the USA in over 100 years, Fox was and is still promoting the lies of the administration regarding Iraq and creating smoke screens like the magnification of the United Nations problems.

Reply:Since I stared watching Jon Stewart in 1999, and I became more interested in national and foreign affairs. In order to understand the humor you have to be on top of the news. I read newspapers, the Huffington Report, watch network news to keep on current affairs.

A university study actually concluded that people who relied on Fox News for coverage of the war in Iraq were more likely to be misinformed than those who relied on other news sources (e.g. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, etc.).
